Sherlock Holmes: A game of shadows
The film Sherlock, follows a similar idea to the one I would like to portray in our own film opening. For instance, in particular the chess scene with the two detectives, however our storyline is different from this film as we have two mob boss. Although this film has some elements of inspiration to our chess scene it also adds inspiration to our film opening overall.
Looking at the top right picture of the shot of the side of a mans face we can see that the shot contrast the light and dark lighting. This also then means that when we are doing a shot similarly to this we need to make sure the lighting is going to be right which then means we need make sure this scene is filmed all in the same day so the lighting is not different.
The shots of the chess piece and chess bring out a sense of control and power between the two character in this scene, the chess scnene also add a metaphor between the two character because as they play this game of chess was see that battle and hate between the two the character as they try to proof each other wrong this really effective because this is the type of atmosphere we would like to create with the two mob bosses. The shot with the clock is really effective as it builds a lot of tension the clock ticking I also like the tense atmosphere this clock creates in this scene such as the ticking of the clock.

Although we didn't use any close up in our film opening we wanted a distance between the character and audiences we was going for this look we wanted our viewers look at the set and location of the characters and really make the mise en scene stand out.
Looper
When looking at this film I like the way there is a distance between the characters and the camera allowing the audiences to see the full vision of the setting and the characters, their costume and the action style of the characters. I like the away this help set the scene when watching through
