Casino Royale There are many examples where camera techniques that have been used effectively to establish the main characters in the squeal on Casino Royale. For instance, the use of the close up at the beginning of the squeal when James Bond climbs over the fence demonstrates that he plays an important part in the course of the film as we are forced to focus on Bond and follow his actions as the audience’s attention have been drawn into the character and his facial expressions through the use of close up. However, straight after the close up see a long shot of a character running away from James Bond this effective because we able to identify that James Bond is the protagonist and that guy running away from him is the antagonist since he is running away. Similarly the use of the long shot is effective because it helps us establish the setting of the film which looks like a construction site as we can see building that haven’t been fully built yet, diggers and cranes. There are also many other camera teachniques used for example, the use long shot and extreme long shot have been used continuously throughout the sequel. However, the long shot has been used effectively when James Bond was chasing the antagonist on top of a crane. This use of shot was effective because it draws the audience’s attention to how high up they are fighting and casing after each other which also then makes the audience fearful and anxious when watching the that part of the sequel.
